Unsung Heroes

I have not written in a while for my blog, mostly because I put other priorities in front of this and I just really didn’t have anything of interest to talk about. But I realized there is always something or someone to acknowledge, so here is to you, my unsung heroes.
First, I would like to talk about someone who ALWAYS makes me turn back to giving to others. She helps me to remember what is important in life and that is people and caring for them. She owns a business called Small Town Errands, where people can hire them to do tasks that they may not be able to accomplish on there own. They will go and spend time with the elderly and play games with them. All around as businesses go, this one seems extremely important to me! Ann M. thank you for always reminding me of what is important and dedicating your life to the welfare of others.
Second, is the person who is the most caring individual I have the pleasure of knowing. I knew her as my friend’s mom as I was growing up, now she is considered a mom to me and a grandmother to my son. She has loved on my son even before he was born with awesome gifts that specifically suit our superhero lifestyle. His first bib he wore to eat rice cereal was giving to us by her… the first bowl we used to feed him was given by her… her thoughtfulness is in all those videos and pictures of those special memories. She has stopped by many times just to say hi and give Ru gifts and even sent me a card for Mother’s Day. Robin H. you are so thoughtful and caring and truly make everyone around you feel special, thank you for your life and allowing me to be apart of it.
Third, is the person I met after high school and who became my mentor. There were many late night talks sitting at her kitchen counter, laughing and advise being given. Her kids are so loving and it was always so fun eating dinner with all the kiddo’s around. She was even gracious enough to allow my wedding and reception to be at her beautiful house, when she found out I was stressing about all the wedding planning. She has always dropped everything to help me and helped me to grow from a teenager to an adult with her words of wisdom. Sandy L. thank you for teaching me so much and being there always with a helping hand and a laugh.
Unsung heroes… the people who do all they can to love others with no thought of it in return. I encourage you to think of these heroes you have in your life and send them a text or a little gift to let them know they have a major impact on your world.
